I have recently become acquainted with Herbert Mabonga, the Chairman of the Initiative for Helping needy Elderly and Orphans (IHEO) in Uganda. They are presently trying to increase their inventory of livestock so that they can serve more of the very old and very young who are in dire need.
What is most extraordinary about them is that they are trying to provide people with ways to become self-supporting, at least at a subsistence level. This short video (less than 5 minutes) sends a very powerful message to the world about what they’re doing.
